GABBANG

The Gabbang can be played as a solo instrument. Sometimes a duo is formed with a 'biula', a local violin.
Graduated bamboo slabs are suspended from a wooden resonator box. The gabbang is played by a pair of beaters while another taps a rhythmic pattern on the side of the box. It may also be played solo. This instrument was made by Manlilikha ng Bayan awardee, Uhang Ahadas.
